The NEXX lineup has an addition - the NF610 model. Recently, the player appeared in the news on the site, but now it seems possible to make a full review of it. The number of models of flash players on the market is amazing, and in order to ensure good sales for your own development, you need to distinguish it with something, any developer understands this. In NEXX, whose products are quite popular among Russians, in the case of the NF610, they relied on a color display with the ability to watch video. At first glance, this functionality in a compact flash player looks a little excessive, but then the thought comes to mind that video is not only a massive "Lord of the Rings", but also Internet videos, as well as music videos. Most likely, the main emphasis is placed on them in relation to the NF610, watching a full-length film on a miniature display is at least uncomfortable.

In addition to viewing images and video, the player provides playback of MP3, WMA, ASF and Ogg Vorbis files, recording a signal from the built-in microphone and receiving FM radio broadcasts. The player comes in various versions with built-in memory of 256, 512 MB and 1 GB, there is no possibility of independent expansion of the memory.

The player is made in a compact body made of smooth black plastic with silver accents. There are no direct analogies with the models of other manufacturers, the player is rather unusual in appearance and looks fresh. The quality of the plastic case can be described as average, it has no flaws, but it looks a little simple, especially for the rear panel. Three-dimensional connector icons are somewhat vague, they do not make the desired impression. The quality of workmanship and fit of parts is at a good level and does not cause any complaints. All parts and panels of the case are well-fitted, the gaps are minimal. The player has the only color scheme, a combination of black and silver colors. The mirror insert on the sides of the player looks festive, however, most likely, it will wear out during use.

In the upper part of the front panel there is a small rectangular display, under which there is a round control unit. At the bottom rounded end there is a USB connector covered with a hard plastic cap. The plug is not very convenient, but it fulfills its functions. On the right side panel there is a key lock switch, the left one, as well as the back one, is left empt Заглушка VHP y. Most of the rear panel is occupied by the battery compartment cover. On the top of the player there are line-in and headphone jacks, as well as a built-in microphone hole.

The level of performance of the NF610 case can be called average, the player does not amaze with the filigree elaboration of details, but also does not shock with cracks and gaps. The body of the player does not play in the hands, the battery compartment cover is securely fixed, which is important. In the NEXX lineup there are also models with a better case, for example, the ND205, but the NF610 as a whole does not damage the company's reputation.

All player controls, with the exception of the key lock switch, are assembled into a single block on the front panel. In the center of the block is a medium-sized five-way joystick. Its functions include switching between files, adjusting the volume, confirming a selection, and turning the player on and off. The joystick of the NF610 is comfortable, its top has good grip on the fingers and practically does not slip, despite the smooth surface. Pressing is clearly recorded, false positives are practically excluded.

There are four buttons around the joystick, all together they form a regular circle. With their help, all other functions of the player are controlled: navigation, menu calling, switching equalizer modes, placing a method for repeating a fragment of a composition and recording a signal. The buttons boast a solid size, a clear click fixation and decent sensitivity.

On the right side panel, as mentioned, is the key lock switch. He performs his functions regularly and does not cause any complaints.

In general, the player's control scheme is convenient, the assignment of the keys is clear at an intuitive level, and the number of controls does not exceed reasonable limits. The number of false positives is minimal and the buttons and joystick look and feel quite reliable.
